BROOKE GLADSTONE: This week a judge in Modesto, California ruled that prosecutors may listen to wiretaps of the calls made to murder suspect Scott Peterson earlier this year. Many of these were calls placed by reporters who apparently stopped at nothing to bag that big interview. In fact, the investigator who tapped the calls told the Associated Press that, quote, "I've listened to as many of the media calls as I could stomach," adding that if he were among the reporters caught on those wiretaps, "I'd be fighting tooth and nail to keep them under protective order."
