Ugonna Okpalaoka is an Emmy Award-winning producer based in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She made her directorial debut in 2020 with Gloves Off, a documentary short film that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and nationally on BET, CBS, and VH1. Prior to that, Ugonna was a producer at NBC's TODAY, where she oversaw hundreds of breaking news segments, high-profile interviews, and feature stories for nearly a decade. Now, as a freelance producer, she focuses on mission-driven and people-centered storytelling across television, film, and digital platforms.
