Jamie Crockett

Jamie Crockett is an East St. Louis, Ill. native and earned an MPA from the MU Truman School of Public Affairs. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in strategic communication from her undergraduate alma mater, the Missouri School of Journalism. She has broadcast experience reporting for NPR member station KBIA and hosted a weekly Gospel/Christian Contemporary music show for community radio station KOPN. Her other professional endeavors have included work in the public sector, specifically in state government and nonprofit communications, and most recently in university media relations. Jamie believes her life’s purpose is to illuminate the work individuals and organizations accomplish in and for the community and does so through her entrepreneurial venture, Shining Light Media.
