Imade Nibokun
Imade Nibokun is Soundcheck's music intern.
She explores the intersection of pop music and social commentary. Imade covered Hip Hop and R&B for LA Weekly where she interviewed artists like Montell Jordan and did a feature story on The Tunnel Rats, a Christian battle rap group.
Imade is a graduate of USC's Specialized Journalism (The Arts) program and a current Non-Fiction MFA student at Columbia University. She's writing her thesis, Depressed While Black, on depression, religion, and recovery. You can follow her at @imadeintruth.
